Job summary

cplace is seeking a Senior SRE to join our Cloud Operations team. You will run the cplace Cloud 1.0 environment reliably and help design the Cloud 2.0 Kubernetes platform, with a focus on security, reliability and performance.

You will implement IaC with Terraform and Ansible, strengthen CI/CD and GitOps practices, and partner with product teams to ensure smooth releases. On-call rotations apply as part of a collaborative, global team.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or related STEM field with several years of SRE/DevOps experience.
• Production Kubernetes expertise and at least one cloud provider (AWS/GCP/Azure/Hetzner).
• IaC with Terraform and Ansible, plus CI/CD, GitOps and PR-based collaboration.
• Strong Linux, MariaDB/Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Go or Python software engineering skills; Bash scripting; strong communication in German (C1) and English.

Responsibilities

• Run cplace Cloud 1.0 reliably and securely for customers.
• Plan and drive Kubernetes Cloud 2.0 architecture and migration.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules, GitOps repositories and platform software.
• Improve monitoring, logging, backup, DR and business continuity; incident management.
• Collaborate with product development and mentor teams; on-call rotations.
