Syngenta Crop Protection seeks a Staff Engineer, DevOps Platform to lead the shared CI/CD, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code platform enabling engineering teams to deliver with confidence. Work at the intersection of advanced technology and agricultural R&D, partnering with engineers, product leaders and scientific stakeholders.

Formación

• Demonstrable experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proven track record designing and operating GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency in Go, Python or Shell for automation.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering and disciplined reviews.
• Strong platform thinking and cross-team collaboration.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and native services.
• Ability to design monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance in DevOps.
• Experience in enterprise-scale system architecture and scalability.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Kubernetes and container orchestration initiatives to durable, scalable outcomes.
• Design and evolve the GitLab CI/CD platform for large engineering teams.
• Shape Terraform-based infrastructure as code across environments.
• Develop automation in Go, Python or Shell to improve pipelines.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering with rigorous code reviews and governance.
• Collaborate with product and science teams to translate needs into platform features.
• Define architecture decisions balancing scalability, reliability and DX.
• Establish monitoring, observability, and incident response protocols.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence.
• Drive security and compliance initiatives within the platform.
