Syngenta Crop Protection is seeking a Staff Engineer, Cloud Foundations to lead the technical direction of a multi-cloud foundation that enables engineering teams to build securely, reliably and with clear cost visibility.

You will partner with engineers, product leaders and scientific stakeholders to accelerate digital capabilities for sustainable agriculture and scientific innovation, while setting high standards for quality, AI-assisted engineering and governance.

Formación

• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Demonstrable experience in multi-cloud architecture (AWS and GCP).
• Demonstrable experience in organisation-scale Terraform and infrastructure as code.

What You'll Do

• Lead and apply deep expertise in multi-cloud architecture (AWS and GCP) to deliver durable, scalable outcomes that support organizational growth.
• Lead and apply deep expertise in organization‑scale Terraform and infrastructure as code to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
• Lead and apply deep expertise in cloud networking and governance to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
• Lead and apply deep expertise in FinOps instrumentation and cloud economics to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
• Lead and apply deep expertise in AI‑assisted engineering with rigorous review to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
• Lead and apply deep expertise in technical leadership without line authority to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
• Collaborate across engineering, product and scientific teams to translate complex needs into practical solutions.
• Set a high bar for quality, documentation and thoughtful use of AI‑assisted engineering.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent by sharing cloud architecture knowledge and best practices across teams.
• Establish and enforce cloud security standards, compliance frameworks and governance policies to protect organizational assets.
• Drive incident response protocols and reliability improvements to ensure high availability of cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance on cloud design decisions to ensure alignment with organizational standards.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience in multi-cloud architecture: AWS and GCP
• Demonstrable experience in organisation‑scale Terraform and infrastructure as code
• Demonstrable experience in cloud networking and governance
• Demonstrable experience in FinOps instrumentation and cloud economics
• Demonstrable experience in AI‑assisted engineering with rigorous review
• Demonstrable experience in technical leadership without line authority
• Demonstrable experience in platform‑as‑product mindset
• Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management with hyperscalers
• Demonstrable experience in cloud security standards, compliance frameworks and governance policy development
• Demonstrable experience in incident response protocols and reliability engineering
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance on cloud design decisions
• Fluent English, written and spoken
