Syngenta is seeking a Staff Engineer, Cloud Foundations to lead the technical direction of a multi-cloud foundation enabling every engineering team to build securely, reliably and with clear cost visibility. This role sits at the intersection of advanced technology and agricultural R&D, partnering with engineers, product leaders and scientific stakeholders.

Formación

• Demonstrable experience in multi-cloud architecture: AWS and GCP.
• Demonstrable experience in organisation-scale Terraform and infrastructure as code.
• Demonstrable experience in cloud networking and governance.
• Demonstrable experience in FinOps instrumentation and cloud economics.
• Demonstrable experience in AI-assisted engineering with rigorous review.
• Demonstrable experience in technical leadership without line authority.
• Demonstrable experience in platform-as-product mindset.
• Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management with hyperscalers.
• Demonstrable experience in cloud security standards, compliance frameworks and governance policy development.
• Demonstrable experience in incident response protocols and reliability engineering.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Lead multi-cloud architecture to deliver durable, scalable outcomes across AWS and GCP.
• Own and advance organisation-scale Terraform and infrastructure as code implementations.
• Guide cloud networking and governance with a focus on reliability and cost visibility.
• Apply FinOps instrumentation to track usage and optimize spend.
• Drive AI-assisted engineering with rigorous review and governance.
• Provide technical leadership without direct line authority to teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and science groups to translate needs into practical solutions.
• Raise the bar for quality, documentation and responsible AI use.
• Mentor engineers in cloud architecture best practices across teams.
• Establish and enforce cloud security standards and governance policies.
• Lead incident response and reliability improvements for cloud platforms.
• Conduct architecture reviews and align decisions with standards.
