Job summary

Criteo is seeking a senior, hands-on Data Scientist to own the analytical backbone of Commerce Analytics and Insights. You will lead data pipelines, understand data lineage, and define rigorous methodologies behind key metrics while staying closely aligned with business needs.

You will build scalable analytical foundations, ensure reliability, and reduce manual work through automation. Collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Senior and hands-on with ownership of execution and quality.
• Strong data engineering, pipelines, analytical logic, and metric design.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, Spark and coding for data processing.
• Experience building production-grade analytical pipelines.
• Experience documenting methods and educating stakeholders on metric definitions.
• Understand tables, connections, and where business interpretation can go wrong.
• Rigorous in defining and validating metrics.
• Able to move from ambiguous questions to executable solutions.
• Comfortable collaborating with client-facing and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategic enough to improve the system, not just execute within it.
• Significant experience in data science, analytics engineering, or similar data-rich role.
• Strong understanding of experimentation, metrics, and QA.
• Experience with large-scale behavioral/commerce/media datasets.

Responsibilities

• Own the data-science and analytical execution layer for Commerce Analytics and Insights.
• Build, improve, and maintain data pipelines powering recurring analytics.
• Understand data lineage, business logic, and data quality risks.
• Ensure outputs are correct, consistent, and reliable.
• Define and validate methodologies behind key metrics and analytics frameworks.
• Partner with Solution Architect and stakeholders to translate questions into analyses.
• Lead hands-on execution of analyses and scalable approaches.
• Document assumptions, limitations, and processes for scale.
• Identify where automation and standardization improve quality and speed.
• Stay aligned with business context and client needs.
