Merck is seeking a Senior Cloud Backend Engineer to shape cloud-native platforms for Healthcare R&D, primarily using AWS and Azure AD. You will implement new features, maintain platform functions, and manage deployments while collaborating with teams across the US, Europe, and India.

The role emphasizes data-driven drug discovery at scale and requires strong Python, SQL, and RESTful microservices expertise.

Formación

• University degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• About 10 years of relevant experience in cloud/backend engineering.
• Proven track record building secure, scalable cloud-native systems on AWS at enterprise scale.
• Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
• Experience with AWS services, serverless design (Lambda, boto3) and RESTful microservices.
• Strong Python programming, and knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines; Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, ownership, and accountability.
