Merck seeks a senior platform architect to design and operate a cloud-native platform that powers intelligent AI applications across a global enterprise. You will own the platform strategy, design multi-tenant Kubernetes environments (primarily EKS) and drive end-to-end delivery with emphasis on security, reliability and scalable operations.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams and craft reusable platform patterns for agentic AI in healthcare and life sciences.

Formación

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of relevant experience building secure, scalable cloud-native backend systems at enterprise scale.
• Experience with architecting complex cloud-native solutions and guiding teams.
• Hands-on experience operating production Kubernetes platforms (preferably EKS).
• Strong AWS platform engineering experience across EKS, ECR, IAM/workload identity, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch and S3.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and operate a cloud-native platform powering AI applications across a global enterprise.
• Own platform strategy, design multi-tenant Kubernetes environments and ADRs.
• Design, build and operate the multi-tenant Kubernetes platform using EKS, Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, Argo CD and Argo Workflows.
• Develop onboarding, promotion, recovery and decommissioning capabilities via Azure DevOps and GitOps.
• Implement identity and tenant isolation across OIDC, RBAC and impersonation; manage secrets and workload identity.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn AI/MLOps needs into reusable platform patterns.
