UST, a multinational technology services company, seeks a Senior Backend Spark Developer (Remote from Spain) to design and optimize data-processing solutions within the Client Contribution platform. You will build scalable Big Data pipelines, lead architectural decisions, and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure performance and reliability.

The role requires 5+ years with Spark (Scala/Python), strong SQL, and experience with Azure Databricks and Hive, plus CI/CD and Agile practice.

• Proficiency in Scala or Python
• Solid SQL knowledge and data modelling skills
• Experience with Azure Databricks and Hive
• Experience working in CI/CD and DevOps environments (Git, GitHub, Sonar, Nexus)
• Agile mindset and experience working in Agile environments
• English level B2+ and Spanish (at least C1+)

What we look for?

We are looking for a Senior Backend Spark Developer responsible for the design, development, and optimization of data processing solutions within the Client Contribution platform. You will play a key role in building scalable and high-performance Big Data pipelines while collaborating across multiple teams.

High english level is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Mandatory requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Apache Spark (Scala or Python)
• Strong experience with Apache Spark (must-have)
• Proficiency in Scala or Python
• Solid SQL knowledge and data modelling skills
• Experience with Azure Databricks and Hive
• Experience working in CI/CD and DevOps environments (Git, GitHub, Sonar, Nexus)
• Agile mindset and experience working in Agile environments
• Strong analytical skills and proactive attitude
• English level B2+ (minimum) and Spanish (at least C1+)

Nice to have:

• Experience with orchestration tools (Control-M, Airflow or similar)
• Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem
• Interest or experience in AI technologies applied to data engineering, analytics, or automati on
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or contributing to AI-driven data platforms
