N26 is seeking a Backend Engineer with Full-Stack capacity for the Agentic Platform Team in Europe. You will build AI-enabled workflows, integrate AI agents with internal tools, and design patterns that scale across engineering tasks.

Strong coding fundamentals and platform intuition are essential as you automate and streamline developer workflows. The role emphasizes ownership, autonomous tooling, and daily use of AI coding tools to push capabilities.

• Strong coding fundamentals: write clean, maintainable code; language secondary to craft.
• Platform intuition: automate repeated manual steps into reusable tools.
• Developer tooling: familiarity with internal developer platforms, CI/CD, or package distribution.
• AI coding habit: daily use of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• GitOps/DevOps experience: practical with GitHub Actions or AWS.

• Enable Self-Service AI Tooling: build distribution layers for teams to publish and use AI capabilities autonomously.
• Connect Agents to Internal Tools: create integrations with issue trackers, code review, CI to empower engineering workflows.
• Turn Problems into Patterns: convert recurring issues into repeatable, AI-powered solutions.
• Set the Standard: document guardrails and practices for responsible AI use at scale.
• Measure What Matters: track AI usage, costs, and impact to guide future work.
