N26 is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design and own end-to-end solutions for its global banking platform. You will help build high-availability services, craft scalable infrastructure, and drive production deployments from concept to code to cloud.

You will collaborate with small autonomous teams, apply Domain-Driven Design, and maintain quality through automated tests, CI/CD, and secure, performant services. Hybrid Barcelona office with relocation support available.

Formación

• 5+ years building production-grade software and backend architectures.
• Experience with distributed systems, DDD, and testing frameworks.
• Cloud architectures (prefer AWS) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Commitment to clean code, testing, scalability, and secure services.
• Fluent English with strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in small autonomous teams and provide feedback.

Responsabilidades

• Design and own end-to-end solutions, including architecture and backend implementation.
• Build tools for threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Partner with teams by building shared infrastructure and automation.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, distributed systems, and reliability.
• Own full service lifecycles using CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code for cloud deployments.
