Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems within a fully remote engineering team. You will work with a talented group of engineers, collaborate on architectural decisions, and contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.

The role focuses on building high-quality software, code reviews, performance optimization, and mentoring junior engineers.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, Go).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Solid understanding of API design principles (RESTful).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, especially in a remote setting.
