Avp is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join a fully remote engineering team. You will design and maintain scalable backend systems, collaborating with engineers to drive architectural decisions and lifecycle stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Python, Java, Node.js, Go).
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve backend software.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Write clean, well-documented code and review peers' work.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams to deliver features.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technology decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
• Optimize application performance and scalability.
