Jobgether is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (New Business) based in Spain. You will work on high-scale backend services with Ruby on Rails and contribute to distributed systems across Kafka, GraphQL, Docker, and Kubernetes.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features that impact users and business outcomes, writing tests and driving engineering standards while enjoying a remote-first work model.

Formación

• 5+ years of backend or web development using Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Strong experience with SQL databases and data modeling in production environments.
• Solid understanding of OO programming principles, software architecture, and automated testing practices.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures (Kafka a plus).
• Familiarity with GraphQL and modern backend service design.

Responsabilidades

• Own the design, development, and maintenance of robust backend services using Ruby on Rails.
• Build and enhance distributed systems involving Kafka, GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to ensure seamless integration between application code and platform systems.
• Write automated tests, perform code reviews, and maintain high engineering standards.
