bsport is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Community & Engagement team, building backend systems powering marketing and communications for studios worldwide. You will work on agentic AI initiatives, the marketing suite, and data foundations to enhance scalability and channel integrations.

You will design and evolve backend architectures, collaborate with colleagues across Product and Front-end teams, and drive engineering excellence while mentoring others in a fast-paced scale-up

Formación

• Experience building AI agentic solutions.
• Strong backend experience with OO languages.
• Experience designing scalable APIs and systems.
• Proficiency in English.

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend systems powering marketing, communication and member data products.
• Take ownership of complex technical projects from architecture to deployment and improvement.
• Contribute to the re-architecture of core backend functionalities for scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product, Front-end Engineers and other teams to turn requirements into robust solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews and best practices; mentor engineers.

About the role:

As a Senior Backend Engineer in our Community & Engagement team, you’ll help build and evolve the backend systems powering our marketing and communications capabilities, used by thousands of studios worldwide. Your team’s focus areas will include:

• Driving initiatives that bring bsport into the world of agentic AI

• Maintaining and evolving our marketing suite, including our Campaigns tool and workflow automation capabilities

• Building and scaling our SMS, email and push notification communication channels, as well as future integrations with new channels

• Helping our studios gain a better understanding of their community by improving the foundations of our member data

• Contributing to the re-architecture of core functionalities within bsport, from our member segmentation tools to our communications stack

What will be your impact:

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will:

• Design, build and maintain scalable and reliable backend systems powering our marketing, communication and member data products

• Take ownership of complex technical projects, from architecture and implementation to deployment and continuous improvement

• Contribute to the re-architecture of core backend functionalities, helping us improve scalability, maintainability and performance

• Collaborate closely with Product, Front-end Engineers and other teams to turn business requirements into robust technical solutions

• Drive technical excellence through code reviews, best practices and thoughtful engineering decisions

• Help shape the technical direction of the team and mentor other engineers through your technical expertise and experience

You would be great fit if you have:

• Experience building AI agentic solutions to manage complex tasks, especially with LangChain suite.

• You have substantial experience in any current Object-Oriented backend language (familiarity with Python and Django is a plus)

• You have experience designing and building scalable backend systems and APIs

• You take ownership and pride in building exceptional products

• You’re detail-oriented, organized, and an effective communicator

• You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and enjoy being challenged

• You have a strong understanding of software architecture, code quality and engineering best practices

• You are comfortable working on complex technical problems and making pragmatic engineering decisions

• You are professionally proficient in English
