Job summary

Enginy, a Barcelona-based startup, is seeking a Backend Engineer to own the engine behind our AI-native GTM platform. You will design, build, and operate high-throughput data pipelines and integrations with the tools our customers use, from design to production to observability.

We require 5+ years of backend experience, strong TypeScript/Node.js skills, modern API design, and PostgreSQL knowledge. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced startup, work autonomously, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Solid understanding of modern API design and async workflows.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar).
• Ability to work autonomously, debug complex issues and ship high-quality code.
• Strong communication skills and an advanced level of English.

Responsibilities

• Core services: build and maintain scalable, reliable services that power our core engine.
• Async workflows: work with async architectures, data pipelines and workflow orchestration with Temporal.
• APIs & integrations: design and implement production-grade APIs and integrations with external platforms (CRMs, LinkedIn and more).
• Performance & reliability: optimize performance, debug complex issues and ensure strong observability across the system.
• End-to-end delivery: collaborate with Product, Design and Frontend to ship complete features with quality and speed.
• Engineering standards: help shape engineering practices, code quality and architecture as we scale.
