Job summary

Wizeline, a global AI-native technology solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Android native mobile developer to join our Barcelona team in a hybrid role (3 days in office). You will lead architecture discussions, design robust mobile experiences, and collaborate with product and data teams to deliver impactful apps.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Android development, deep Kotlin expertise, and hands-on with Jetpack Compose.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in Android native mobile development.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with architecture, MVP/MVVM, and API design.
• Familiarity with cloud services, GraphQL and Firebase is a plus.
• Interest in news and creativity and willingness to adopt AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical discussions and decisions on architecture and coding standards.
• Design and manage development, testing, monitoring, and change processes with product teams.
• Identify and address technical debt and improve team productivity while delivering high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive technical discussions and decisions, ensuring effective application architecture and programming standards are implemented.
• Design and manage processes for development, testing, monitoring, and change management, while collaborating with product teams to align technical and business goals.
• Identify and address technical debt, continuously improving team productivity and ensuring the delivery of high-impact projects.

Must-have Skills

• 5+ years of Android native Mobile development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Familiarity with data structures, system design, design patterns, API design, MVP or MVMM, declarative UI, Git, and DevOps.
• A full-stack background is a huge plus. Familiarity with cloud services, GraphQL, Firebase, etc is a plus.
• A passion for news and creativity to introduce new ideas and technologies. If you have a background in journalism, even better

Nice-to-have:

• AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.

This is a position based in Barcelona in a hybrid mode (3 days per week at the office)
