N26 is hiring an Android Engineer to contribute to the Payments platform. You will build secure, scalable Android applications, working with Kotlin, Material Design, and reactive programming in a fast-paced fintech environment.

You will collaborate in cross-functional teams, own features, and drive architectural decisions while adhering to Agile practices and high regulatory standards.

About the opportunity

We are seeking a talented Android Engineer to contribute and evolve our product. As a Software Engineer at N26, you elevate the standard. You prevent problems before they happen and bridge the gap between product requirements and technical execution. You will join the Payments segment at N26. Our team's goal is to become the primary banking relationship for our customers by providing trustworthy and frictionless money movement experiences.

In this role, you will:

What you need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience building high-quality Android applications at fast-paced tech companies or fintech startups, with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable mobile solutions.

Skills:

Experience with the Android Open Source Platform and Material Design principlesExperience with KotlinExperience with Reactive programming - Kotlin coroutines - FlowYou strive to build Android applications that can be summarized as RSA - Responsive, Slick and Attractive. You also understand why RSA is important for a Mobile Bank from a cryptographic point of view.

Experience with Model-View-ViewModel architectural patternsAble to build software with a focus on testability - Test/Behavior Driven Development, Dependency InjectionActive participant/speaker at meet-ups and conferences in the Android community
