N26 in Barcelona is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable systems in a dynamic team within the Grow & Engage domain.

You will work on modern cloud-native architectures, focusing on JVM languages, Spring Boot, and microservices to deliver delightful customer experiences and secure banking features.

Formación

• Experience in developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems (Kotlin is a plus).
• Solid understanding of microservice architecture.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (Postgres preferred).
• Experience with modern cloud architecture, preferably AWS.

About the Opportunity

You will work in the Incentives team within the Grow & Engage domain. This is the heart of the customer experience ranging from the acquisition and signup to our premium membership tiers and the daily engagement of our users. You will work in teams delivering the newest and most innovative features serving our customers in the best way possible.

Location: Barcelona, Spain

In This Role, You Will:

• Do discovery, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software in a thriving environment.




• Manage individual project priorities and deliverables whilst working in a team who enjoy knowledge sharing sessions.




• Stay up to date with the latest trends in technology.




• Propose new findings during our Get Stuff Done Days (GSDD).

What You Need to Be Successful:

Background & Skills:

• Experience in developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems (experience with Kotlin is a plus).




• Sound understanding of microservice architecture.




• Knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres.




• Appreciation of working in a modern cloud architecture, preferably with AWS.

• Motivation to write code which is well-tested and well-documented.




• Ability to give and receive open, direct, and timely feedback.
