Lever, Inc. is partnering to hire a Product Engineer (AI-Native) based in Spain. You will own features end-to-end, from problem discovery to production, working with AI agents as primary development partners in a fully remote, international team.

You’ll shape architecture, integrations, and production readiness, reviewing AI-generated implementations for reliability and quality, and driving initiatives without detailed specs in a rapidly evolving AI-first engineering environment.

Formación

• Senior-level engineering experience with ownership of complex production systems end-to-end.
• Background as a backend engineer, software architect, or senior IC.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) in daily development.
• Strong interest in agentic software development and continuous learning.
• Exceptional ownership with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to drive results independently.
• Strong critical-thinking to inspect, debug, and improve AI-generated code and solutions.
• High standards for engineering quality, reliability, testing, and production readiness.
• Experience with complex integrations and external service providers.
• Comfort operating with ambiguity and making decisions without detailed specs.
• Strong product mindset connecting tech decisions to user/business outcomes.
• Hands-on individual contributor; no people management.
• Strong English communication within distributed teams.

Responsabilidades

• Own product features end-to-end, from problem statement to deployment and production.
• Independently identify what needs to be built and drive initiatives without detailed specs.
• Engage with external partners and service providers for integration requirements.
• Collaborate with AI agents to create product and technical specifications with ownership of quality.
• Delegate development tasks to AI agents and review their output in large production codebases.
• Evaluate AI-generated implementations, identify weaknesses, and refine solutions.
• Test and validate features with emphasis on reliability for financial transactions.
• Take responsibility for architecture, integrations, deployment, and production readiness.
• Contribute to AI-first development processes within the team.
• Stay updated on agentic development practices to improve product lifecycle.
