Job summary

Merck Group is seeking an AI Engineer to join the Data & AI Organization (MDAO). You will design and run analytics pipelines and agentic workflows, integrating LLMs and predictive models to deliver scalable AI solutions across Finance, HR, Procurement, and more.

You will work with Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists in agile PODs to deliver insights via APIs and dashboards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Python/SQL, ML/NLP, and experience with cloud data platforms

Qualifications

University degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years in data science, data engineering, analytics, or visualization in a global org.
Strong Python and SQL programming skills.
Experience with Finance/HR/Procurement data and core processes.
Experience with LLM-powered applications and AI systems.

Responsibilities

Design and implement reliable analytics pipelines and enterprise-grade agentic workflows.
Integrate LLMs, predictive models, and multi-agent frameworks for scalable AI solutions.
Ensure model reliability, reproducibility, and enterprise-scale performance.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists in PODs and support AI outputs via APIs and dashboards.
