Job summary

Novartis is seeking an AI Senior Expert in Barcelona to design and deploy Agentic AI solutions for finance, using LLMs and RI/GA architectures. You will collaborate across Finance, Data Science, and Technology to automate complex processes and deliver measurable impact.

The role requires 5+ years in AI/ML, strong Python/SQL, cloud experience, and a hands-on approach to deploying enterprise AI. Hybrid work is available in Barcelona with relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, ML, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience developing AI, ML, or enterprise software solutions.
• Proven experience building and deploying AI agents or multi-agent systems in production.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL for data-driven solution development.
• Hands-on experience with large language models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and enterprise AI frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, AI operations practices, and scalable deployment architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Agentic AI solutions that transform finance planning, forecasting, and performance management.
• Build multi-agent systems that reason, retrieve information, execute tasks, and generate business recommendations.
• Develop AI-powered analytics that convert complex data into actionable insights.
• Integrate large language models into enterprise workflows with reliability, transparency, and governance.
• Design Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures using enterprise knowledge sources.
• Implement monitoring, evaluation, and testing frameworks to measure quality, accuracy, and impact.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI products that create measurable value.
