Novartis seeks an AI Senior Expert in Barcelona to shape the future of finance through intelligent AI solutions. You will lead enterprise-grade AI, including Agentic AI, LLMs, and analytics, collaborating with Finance, Data Science, and Technology teams to automate complex processes and drive measurable business impact.

The role requires 5+ years in AI/ML, strong Python/SQL skills, and experience deploying AI agents in production.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, ML or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience developing AI, ML, or enterprise software solutions.
• Proven experience building and deploying AI agents or multi-agent systems in production.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL for data-driven solution development.
• Hands-on experience with large language models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and enterprise AI frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and scalable deployment architectures.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience developing Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or enterprise software solutions.
• Proven experience building and deploying Artificial Intelligence agents or multi-agent systems in production environments.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and Structured Query Language for data-driven solution development.
• Hands‑on experience with large language models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and enterprise Artificial Intelligence frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, Artificial Intelligence operations practices, and scalable deployment architectures.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience supporting Finance, forecasting, or business performance management use cases through Artificial Intelligence solutions.
• Knowledge of responsible Artificial Intelligence practices, model governance, and enterprise regulatory compliance frameworks.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: €42,600.00 to €79,200.00 The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
