Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid, seeks an Aerodynamics Engineer to join the Aerodynamics Team responsible for aerodynamic development and optimization of Airbus Defence & Space aircraft. You will work in a multidisciplinary Flight Physics environment and collaborate with international partner organizations.

The role covers external shape design, steady and unsteady aerodynamic data modeling, safe separation analysis, and wind tunnel test campaigns within the aircraft lifecycle.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 5 years’ experience in aerodynamic design and characterization.
• Advanced English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Strong experience in meshing, CFD tools, CAD, and building aerodynamic databases from experimental/CFD data.
• German and/or French proficiency is a plus.
• PhD in Aerospace Engineering is valuable.

Responsabilidades

• Design air vehicle external shapes and deliver optimized aerodynamic solutions, performance data, handling qualities, and loads models on time, cost, and quality (TCQ).
• Develop and maintain technologies, methods, tools, and expertise across the Aerodynamics discipline throughout the aircraft lifecycle.
• Develop expertise in the advanced application of numerical and experimental aerodynamic prediction tools.
• Acquire and advance innovative aerodynamic technologies aligned with overall company strategy.
• Collaborate with external research community and related flight physics disciplines such as structures, loads, stability & control, and mass properties.
