Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting experience in multinational or international environments.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting principles (PGC) and tax regulations.
• Experience in monthly and annual closings, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAGE or similar ERP is a plus.
• Intermediate English; ability to communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and annual financial closing processes with accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments for parent and subsidiaries.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany transactions.
• Support annual financial statements and statutory accounts.
• Coordinate with internal departments for correct accounting treatment of transactions.
• Assist external auditors during financial audits.
• Prepare tax returns and liaise with external tax advisors.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls.

Role Summary

At Nalanda, part of Once For All, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team.

This is a key role within a growing and evolving international company, offering the opportunity to take ownership of core accounting activities, contribute to accurate financial reporting, and drive improvements in existing processes.

Key responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Manage and support monthly and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and accounting adjustments for the parent company and subsidiaries.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and other key accounts.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements and statutory accounts.
• Contribute to monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis and reconciliation of financial information.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate accounting treatment of transactions, contracts, and invoicing.
• Prepare supporting documentation and collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.

Tax & Compliance

• Prepare and support the filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with Spanish tax regulations and reporting deadlines.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors on tax-related matters and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure accounting activities comply with applicable financial regulations, internal policies, and accounting standards.

Process Improvement & Internal Controls

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen internal controls.
• Participate in automation initiatives, system improvements, and the implementation of new financial tools.
• Contribute to the standardization and documentation of accounting procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within multinational or international environments.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting principles (PGC) and tax regulations.
• Proven experience in monthly and annual closings, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAGE or similar accounting/ERP systems will be considered an advantage.
• Intermediate level of English, with the ability to communicate in a professional environment.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Proactive mindset, organizational skills, and a continuous improvement approach.
