Job summary

ROVI Pharmaceutical Company is seeking an experienced accounting professional in Madrid to manage general ledger and financial reporting activities. The role supports IFRS-compliant financial booking, reconciliations, and period-end close processes while collaborating with local teams and other departments to ensure accurate reflection in the general ledger.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Finance/Accounting, 5+ years in accounting, strong analytical skills, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience focused on general ledger and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
• Proficiency in SAP and English; additional European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support financial booking activities ensuring IFRS compliance.
• Manage reconciliations and adjustments to maintain accurate records.
• Support period end close, AR/AP subledger reconciliations with GL, closing GL and AA.
• Support Intercompany reconciliation and fix variances.
• Perform Year End Closing activities including balance carry forward and number range creations.
• Utilize ERP systems to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain chart of accounts and hierarchies reflecting the business structure.
• Collaborate with local teams and other departments to ensure proper accounting.
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain policies, procedures, and templates.
• Ensure internal controls are in place and followed.
