Job summary

Laboratorios Farmacéuticos Rovi S.A. is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support financial bookings, ensure IFRS compliance, and manage reconciliations and period-end close activities.

The role involves coordinating with local teams, preparing journal entries, and maintaining the chart of accounts to reflect current business structure. A Bachelor’s in Finance & Accounting and 5+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in finance/accounting roles.
• Experience with IFRS and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Support financial booking activities ensuring IFRS compliance.
• Manage reconciliations and adjustments to maintain accurate records.
• Support period end close incl. AR/AP subledger and GL reconciliation.
• Perform year-end closing activities such as balance carry forward and AA closure.
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with local teams and other departments to reflect in the general ledger.

What do we do?We are a Spanish pharmaceutical company engaged in the research and development, manufacturing and marketing of small molecules and biological medical products.We likewise use our sales channels to market a number of licensed pharmaceutical products, imaging contrast agents and other products for hospital use, as well as OTC pharmaceuticals.All of this is carried out through our specialized sales team formed by more than 260 people who promote the products with specialized medical professionals and in hospitals and pharmacies.What will you do?Supporting financial booking activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the company regulations.Managing reconciliations and adjustments, to maintain accurate financial records.Supporting period end close activities, including closing the accounts receivable/payable subledger and reconciling with the general ledger; closing the general ledger, opening new financial periods, and closing Asset Accounting (AA).Supporting the Intercompany reconciliation process and fixing variances.Performing technical Year End Closing activities such as balance carry forward, number range creations, and closing AA.Utilizing advanced knowledge of ERP systems to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.Maintaining and updating the chart of accounts and hierarchies, ensuring it reflects the current business structure and reporting requirements.Collaborating closely with local Teams in countries and other departments to ensure all financial transactions are properly accounted for and reflected in the general ledger.Preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.Contributing to the continuous improvement, leveraging technology and best practices; maintaining policies, procedures, and templates.Ensuring financial internal controls are in place and followed for the processes performed by this role.Your contract type will be:PermanentThe required education for the job is:Bachelors Degree: Finance & Accounting (obligatorio)The experience for this job is:More than 5 years
