Workato is seeking an experienced systems/software engineer to design and evolve core components including a Rust-based runtime, WASM sandboxing, and language bindings. You will collaborate with product and AI teams to shape exposure, interfaces, and reliable architectures across multiple components.

Ideal candidates bring deep Rust knowledge, production Go experience, and a track record embedding Rust as a library in other runtimes.

Formación

• Strong algorithms and data-structures fundamentals are required.
• Proven hands-on Rust experience at a systems/backend level.
• Working knowledge of Go in production environments.
• Experience embedding Rust as a library or native extension.
• Familiarity with WASM sandboxing and related tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build core language and runtime features across the Expression Language, Data Mapper, and Decision Engine.
• Own and extend the Rust core, embedding it inside Ruby and Go services via FFI bindings.
• Help expand the Decision Engine from static rules to support formulas and automation.
• Contribute to WASM sandboxing to keep components isolated and secure.
• Partner with Product and AI teams to define exposure and interfaces.
