Payward is building the future of open finance by crafting robust Rust-based services powering trading, payments, and crypto experiences. You will design and implement scalable systems, collaborate with a large Rust engineering cohort, and maintain a security‑first approach throughout architecture and code.

This role emphasizes ownership and practical, reliable solutions in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Formación

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient in writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust.
• Security-first mindset during system design to ensure robustness.
• Demonstrate autonomous debugging across OS, network, and application.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems including RPC, Kafka, and event-driven architectures.
• Collaborate with product teams to gather requirements and constraints.
• Take complete end-to-end ownership of systems and libraries.
• Provide mentorship to other engineers and contribute to technical culture.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement robust Rust services and libraries powering trading, payments, and crypto experiences.
• Write reusable, testable, and highly efficient code that scales across teams and supports revenue‑critical systems while staying safe.
• Collaborate on large‑scale distributed systems architecture to deliver low‑latency solutions.
• Work alongside hundreds of Rust engineers in a high‑performance, product‑driven engineering culture.
