Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind). The role, based in Barcelona, involves overseeing offshore wind assets, coordinating with site teams, and driving reliable turbine performance through remote diagnostics and proactive problem solving.

You will monitor operations, support commissioning and service activities, and guide field teams in resolving technical issues while maintaining safety and compliance. European relocation and EU work eligibility are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy sector.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
