Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Wind Remote Operations Center in Barcelona, Spain. You will support safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote center, guiding commissioning and service activities.

You will monitor turbines, perform remote diagnostics, collaborate with engineering teams, analyze data for faults and improvement opportunities, and contribute to process optimization while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind sector experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or similar electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; calm under pressure; collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%; relocation to Barcelona.
• Fluent in English; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms.
• Remote diagnostics and troubleshooting for commissioning and service.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data for faults, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages with safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift with on-call weekends/public holidays.
