Yugo seeks an experienced Residence Manager to lead a team of Yugoers and deliver exceptional student living experiences in Madrid. You will oversee daily operations, guest services, safety, and community programs across our spaces.

The role combines people leadership with budget accountability, driving occupancy and revenue through targeted sales and marketing efforts while upholding Yugo's values of sustainability and inclusion.

Formación

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in fast-paced, target-driven environments with a focus on sales and marketing.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and guide the team to ensure the student space runs smoothly.
• Take full responsibility for budget and P&L and financial performance of the space.
• Manage costs and maximize profit while ensuring occupancy via short- and long-term lets.
• Drive sales and marketing activities to fill the student space across channels.
• Handle customer complaints and deliver excellent student experiences.
• Ensure safety, security, compliance, and building management procedures are followed.
• Develop relationships with local universities and suppliers.
• Oversee the operational calendar and student lifecycle from arrival to departure.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Area Manager here is a snapshot of what you will do:

• Use your upbeat, outgoing personality to lead, mentor, and guide the team to ensure that the student space is running smoothly
• Take full responsibility for the budget and P&L, and the financial performance of the student space.
• You’ll cross all the T's and dot the I's, to and ensure you are managing costs and maximizing profit for the property
• Follow up on all sales opportunities and ensure the student space is at capacity through short term and long term lets
• Drive sales and marketing activities to ensure the student space is full and all marketing channels have been utilized to their full potential
• Manage 'the good' and turn around the 'not so good' - meaning you will handle complaints and offer excellent student experiences to your students
• Use your advanced knowledge of safety, security, compliance, and building management to ensure core operating procedures are adhered to, followed up on and we are providing a safe secure home to our students
• Maintain and develop relationships with key players at the local universities, as well as internal and external suppliers – again here is that winning personality!
• Be a smooth operator and ensure the smooth running of the operational calendar and student lifecycle from arrival, departure, and summer turnaround

Qualifications

Sound good so far? Here’s what you'll need:

• Relevant experience running a residence within hotels, university/college
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain quality relationships
• Experience within a fast-paced, target driven environment with a strong focus on sales and marketing
• Being able to communicate fluently in Spanish and English.
• Q ualification and/or willingness to undertake training for Carbon Literacy
