Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Wind Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. The role focuses on safe, efficient offshore wind asset operation, guiding commissioning and service activities, and driving continuous improvement from a remote operations center.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to detect and resolve issues, ensuring stable turbine performance and proactive optimization across lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
