Job summary

GE Vernova is recruiting a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind). Based in Barcelona, you will oversee safe, efficient operations of offshore wind assets, guiding commissioning and service phases.

You’ll work with site teams and engineers to detect, analyze, and resolve issues, ensuring turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle. You’ll monitor performance, assist with remote diagnostics, and drive continuous improvement within a rotating weekday shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with clear technical communication and calm, structured approach under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on‑call support during weekends and public holidays.
