Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona to oversee safe, efficient offshore wind asset operations from a central hub. You will collaborate with site teams and engineers to diagnose issues, optimize performance, and lead remote diagnostic efforts throughout commissioning and service phases.

You will monitor systems, analyze data, and drive improvements while handling rotating shifts and occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent wind-energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them to troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Analytical, structured communication and collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; willing to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
