Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations in wind energy. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote center, coordinating with site teams and engineering experts to troubleshoot and improve performance.

You will monitor alarms, perform diagnostics, assist field teams, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety and compliance across rotating shifts and occasional on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or electromechanical systems in operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required with safety and compliance in mind.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift with on-call weekend coverage.
