Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to oversee offshore wind asset performance from a central hub. You will monitor turbines, diagnose issues, and drive remote troubleshooting to maintain reliability and safety.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineering to resolve complex faults, analyse data for improvements, and support shift rotations with occasional on-call duties. English fluency is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication, calm under pressure and a proactive mindset.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
