Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) in Barcelona, Spain. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets, diagnostics, and commissioning support from a remote hub.

You will work with site teams and engineering experts to detect and resolve issues, ensuring reliable turbine performance and continuous improvement across the lifecycle. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Travel up to 20% and EU work eligibility; fluent English required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance, respond to alarms and abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages with safety and compliance focus.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekend/public holiday support.
