Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center (Wind) in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor offshore wind assets from a central hub, diagnose issues, and guide both commissioning and service activities to ensure safe, reliable turbine performance.

You will work with site teams and engineers, reading electrical schematics and using SCADA tools to identify faults, optimize operations, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with wind turbines in operational settings.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support.
