Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) based in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor turbines, diagnose issues remotely, and support commissioning and service activities across multiple sites.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts to ensure safe, reliable operations, analyze data for faults and improvements, and participate in rotating shifts with on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operations.
• Read electrical schematics for troubleshooting and field support.
• Proficient with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Clear technical communication and collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% if required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Provide remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to support commissioning and service.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to solve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift with on-call rotations for weekends/holidays.
