Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to oversee remote operations of offshore wind assets from a central control center in Barcelona. You will guide commissioning and service phases, analyzing data, resolving issues, and driving improvements across engineering and operations teams.

You will collaborate with site teams and experts to ensure safe, reliable turbine performance, with occasional travel and flexible on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; proactive, collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
