Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to oversee remote operations for offshore wind assets from Barcelona. You will monitor performance, diagnose issues, and guide commissioning and service activities to ensure reliable turbine operation.

You will analyse data, coordinate with engineering teams, and drive continuous improvements, while adapting to a rotating shift and occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; proactive and calm under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call during weekends/public holidays.
