Job summary

GE Vernova is hiring a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will monitor offshore wind assets, diagnose issues remotely, and drive continuous improvement with site teams and engineering experts to ensure safe, reliable turbine performance.

Requirements include an engineering degree, hands-on wind turbine experience, SCADA proficiency, and strong communication in English. Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20% are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends/public holidays.
