Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead in wind energy to operate from a remote operations center in Barcelona. You will monitor turbines, analyze data, and troubleshoot with engineering teams to ensure safe, reliable performance across commissioning and service phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with clear technical communication, calm under pressure
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
• Fluent English (spoken and written); willingness to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotation for weekends/public holidays
