Job summary

GE Vernova is hiring a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind). Based in Barcelona, you will oversee safe and efficient offshore wind asset operations from a remote hub, collaborating with site teams to diagnose and resolve issues during commissioning and service phases.

You will monitor turbines, perform remote diagnostics, and guide field teams. Strong engineering background, SCADA proficiency, and English fluency are required; relocation to Barcelona is expected with up to 20%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Fluent English; relocation to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.
• Travel up to 20% of the time, if required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekends/public holidays.
