Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to monitor offshore wind assets from the Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will analyze alarms, perform remote diagnostics, assist field teams, and ensure safe, reliable turbine operation across commissioning and service phases.

You will work with engineering teams, analyze data for faults and trends, report findings, and contribute to process improvements. Travel up to 20%, rotating shifts, relocation to Barcelona required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with wind turbines in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends and holidays.
