Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to manage the safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will collaborate with site teams and engineers to diagnose, monitor, and resolve issues across commissioning and service phases, ensuring turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
• Fluent English; willing to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends and public holidays
