Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to oversee safe and efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center in Barcelona. You will coordinate commissioning and service activities, collaborating with site teams and engineers to ensure reliable turbine performance.

You will read electrical schematics, use SCADA tools, and analyze data to drive proactive maintenance. This role involves travel up to 20%, a rotating weekday schedule, and on-call support during weekends

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operations.
• Read electrical schematics and apply them for troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Provide remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to support commissioning and service.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues to restore performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on rotating weekday shifts with on-call weekend/public holiday support.
