Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to oversee safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets. You will work across commissioning and service, detect, analyze, and resolve technical issues, and drive continuous improvement from a remote control environment.

The role requires engineering degrees, wind energy experience, SCADA proficiency, and strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults and trends.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shift with occasional on-call on weekends/holidays.
