Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to supervise offshore wind assets from a central hub. You will monitor turbine performance, diagnose issues remotely, and support commissioning and service activities to ensure reliability across the lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on wind turbine experience, SCADA knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 20%. Fluent English and EU work eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind sector experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service via remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults and trends.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages with safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift with on-call weekends/holidays.
