Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Elasticsearch - Storage Engine team. This fully remote, globally distributed role focuses on core storage and query technologies for observability workloads, with emphasis on storage efficiency and performance optimization.

The ideal candidate has strong Java skills, experience with distributed systems, and a track record of designing scalable storage and query engines.

Formación

• Experience designing core storage and query engines.
• Strong Java knowledge and concurrency understanding.
• Experience with distributed systems and performance tuning.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the architectural evolution of core storage engine components and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Drive cross-organizational initiatives for observability solutions.
• Collaborate with a globally distributed team on logs and metrics features.
• Introduce Clean Code practices and architectural clarity across the platform.
• Serve as SME across Elasticsearch areas and mentor engineers.
• Review issues and PRs with domain experts and peers, enabling fast shipping.
